Paso Horses “Show & Buffet Dinner”

Peruvian Paso Horse, Symbol of Elegance, Celebration and Tradition

The Peruvian Paso Horse is a source of pride and identity for an entire country, since, thanks to its emblematic gait, it stands out in the world of art. This breed, bred in Peruvian soil, captivates everyone who sees it walk with its refined, elegant and charismatic movements. This tour is undoubtedly for horse lovers, you will be very curious to know how they “dance”.

The history of the Peruvian Paso Horse dates back to the times of the Spanish colony in the 16th century. During the time of the Spanish viceroyalty, the colonizers brought with them horses of pure Spanish blood. These horses were used for transportation and agricultural work. However, some of these horses were also used for the enjoyment and entertainment of the Spanish nobility. As time went by, a new breed of horses emerged that inherited the characteristics of the Spanish cavalry and adapted to the conditions of the Peruvian terrain and climate.
The Peruvian Paso horse stood out for its special gait, known as “paso llano”. This gait is characterized by the prolonged suspension of each of its hooves, which generates a feeling of softness and comfort for the rider. In addition, the Peruvian Paso horse also has a great elegance and presence in its carriage, which makes it a unique and highly appreciated animal. Its distinctive gait and natural grace were admired by the Peruvians, and the breed was perfected over the years through selection and selective breeding.

Today, the Peruvian Paso horse is recognized and appreciated internationally. Its elegance and smooth gait make it a highly sought after horse for parades, exhibitions and equestrian competitions. In addition, the Peruvian Paso horse is also used as a recreational riding horse and as a symbol of Peruvian culture and tradition.

We will also enjoy a delicious buffet dinner containing the most emblematic dishes of the famous Peruvian gastronomy (drinks not included) and an artistic show of dances from the different regions of Peru, such as: the coast, highlands and rainforest.
